The Marine and Environmental Consultation Bureau aims to provide marine consultations, scientific and technical services, and expertise, control pollution in Iraqi rivers and marine waters, develop specialized expertise, and offer advice in the field of fisheries development, as well as to conduct environmental, topographic and geophysical surveys of river and marine waters and soil investigations, as well as “implementation of projects through contracting.” with the government institutions, the socialist and mixed sector, and the private sector within its competence and contributing to the study of the environmental impacts of industrial and residential projects. It contributes to raise the level of scientific and practical expertise by contribution the teaching staff in the work of the government institutions and implementation and exchanging experiences with similar offices and relevant organizations relationship.
